What moves the coffee price
ICE arabica futures on green coffee beans are the benchmark for the whole coffee market. Brazil grows about a third of the world's arabica, so frost or drought there hits prices fast.
Coffee hit record highs in 2024 and 2025 after poor harvests in Brazil and Vietnam. This is the price of unroasted beans, a small part of what a bag of coffee costs in a store.
