Frequently asked questions

What is the Hyperliquid whale tracker?

A live view of the largest positions on Hyperliquid: who is long and short, by how much, at what leverage and liquidation price, plus a feed of big opens, closes and liquidations. Everything comes from the exchange's own on-chain data.

Why can anyone see whale positions on Hyperliquid?

Hyperliquid is a decentralised exchange running on its own blockchain. Every account's positions, orders and trades are public by wallet address, which is not the case on Binance or Bybit.

How fast does the tracker update?

Trades from $1M show up within seconds of execution. Positions of wallets that just traded refresh within about a minute; the rest of the exchange is swept in the background.

How do I follow a specific whale?

Open the wallet page by address, or pick one from the positions table or the leaderboard, and add it to your watchlist. You get a notification when that wallet trades, deposits or withdraws.

Should I copy whale trades?

Treat them as information, not signals. A large position on Hyperliquid can be a hedge for spot holdings elsewhere or one leg of a bigger strategy, and whales lose money too. The wallet page shows each trader's full history so you can judge the track record.

Is the whale tracker free?

Yes. Positions, the leaderboard and trades from $1M are free. Smaller trades and alerts on followed wallets are available after sign-up.
