On September 20, the ZetaChain community overwhelmingly backed shutting down its own layer-1 blockchain and moving the ZETA token over to Solana. The proposal passed with 99.4% approval and a 58% turnout.
What’s Changing for ZETA
ZETA will be reissued as an SPL token on Solana and swapped 1:1—no change to the total supply. Migrating to Solana’s (SOL) infrastructure is a major step for the project’s ecosystem.
Network Shutdown Timeline
The exact date for shutting down the current ZetaChain network will be set by a separate vote, after exchanges sign off on the migration. Until the switch is complete, the network will stay live and ZETA staking will keep running as usual.
Team Focus: Anuma
The team’s shifting their focus to building out the Anuma AI app, which will also move to Solana as part of the broader migration plan.
