The ZetaChain community has voted to shut down its own Layer 1 chain and move the ZETA token over to Solana. Once the migration wraps up, the ZetaChain blockchain will go offline, and Solana will become the new home base for ZETA.
What Happened
Following a vote on Proposal #68, the community approved the plan: ZetaChain is winding down its Layer 1, and ZETA is making the jump to Solana’s ecosystem. Once the migration is finished, ZetaChain will shut down for good, and Solana will officially take over as the token’s main infrastructure.
What’s Changing for ZETA
ZETA will become a native SPL asset on Solana. The migration won’t touch tokenomics — issuance and distribution rules will stay exactly as they are now. After the move, all major ZETA activity will shift to Solana’s network.
Market Reaction
Since the proposal went live, ZETA’s price has pumped 80%.
