On Thursday, IBM announced two new features for Digital Asset Haven: beta integration with the Swift blockchain ledger for 24/7 tokenized deposit transfers and a beta option for deploying the platform in banks' own data centers. Participants in the Swift program have already tested tokenized deposits on this ledger via the IBM platform.
ISO 20022: Payment Instructions Without New Blockchain Workflows
Digital Asset Haven now includes a messaging adapter that enables tokenized deposit operations using the ISO 20022 standard. Banks can use familiar payment formats and compliance procedures instead of building separate blockchain workflows.
Swift Ledger Launched With 17 Banks After Development With Over 40 Institutions
Swift developed the blockchain ledger together with more than 40 financial institutions and launched it in July with a pilot group of 17 banks, including HSBC, Citi, BNP Paribas, UBS, and Standard Chartered. In August, HSBC and Standard Chartered executed the first live cross-border transaction on this ledger.
Deployment on IBM Z and LinuxONE Without Public Cloud
The on-premises option allows Digital Asset Haven to run on IBM Z and LinuxONE infrastructure without using public cloud services. This enables banks and other regulated organizations to keep digital asset operations and key management within their own data centers.
