Grayscale just announced it’s doing a 3-for-1 stock split on its Zcash ETF (ticker: ZCSH). According to SEC filings, holders will get two extra shares for every one they already own, with trading on the new split basis kicking off September 30. The split will cut the price per share by about a third, but your total investment value won’t change.
What This Means for Investors
After the split, everyone’s ZCSH share count will triple, but the total dollar value of your position stays the same. The new share price will be reflected when trading opens post-split on September 30.
Zcash ETF Performance Since Launch
Since launching on August 25, the fund has pulled in more than $233 million. By September 18, assets under management were close to $890 million, and total trading volume had topped $11 billion.
Key Details of the Split
This 3-for-1 split covers all outstanding ZCSH shares and is being carried out through an SEC filing. Mechanically, the price per share drops in proportion to the split, but your ownership percentage in the ETF doesn’t change.
