AllUnity on Wednesday launched the USDAU dollar stablecoin, its fourth fiat-backed token under MiCA regulation. The new asset is available on six networks and maintains a 1:1 peg to the US dollar.

The token is backed by segregated reserves

USDAU will maintain parity with the dollar through segregated reserves. The launch covers the Ethereum, Solana, Base, Tempo, Arc, and Polygon networks.

AllUnity already offers three stablecoins in euro, franc, and krona

Under MiCA regulation, AllUnity already issues EURAU (euro), CHFAU (Swiss franc), and SEKAU (Swedish krona). The market capitalization of EURAU is about $400,000, while CHFAU is around $45 million.

Dollar stablecoins account for over 99% of the market

The launch of USDAU comes amid European discussions about the dominance of dollar stablecoins. They represent more than 99% of the roughly $291 billion global stablecoin market by capitalization. In June, the European Central Bank warned that increased use of dollar stablecoins in European tokenized finance systems could deepen reliance on the dollar and weaken the euro's role.
