On the previous day, the yield on 30-year US government bonds reached 5.62%, the highest level since 2002.

Buyback limit increased, liquidity supported

The limit for the upcoming buyback operation has been raised. The purchase of less liquid issues from participants’ balances supports market liquidity.

Lower yields support equities and BTC

Additional demand from the Treasury supports Treasury prices and may put downward pressure on yields. Lower yields ease financial conditions and reduce competition for capital from risk-free assets, which is positive for equities, BTC, and other risk assets.
