In his post, Trump said the new unit will coordinate federal government efforts to ensure the United States maintains global leadership in the field of "superintelligence."

Clayton Led the SEC During Trump’s First Term

Clayton headed the SEC during Trump’s first term and, on his last day in office, initiated the case against Ripple for securities sales. As U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, he also led the criminal case against Roman Storm for involvement with Tornado Cash.
