13-year-old Zhu Shuhan from Shanghai has rolled out Zai Chang, an AI-powered app designed to help kids stay on track with homework. She debuted the project at the Markethon competition in Hangzhou, and it's already snagged its first customers.

What is Zai Chang?

Zai Chang is a digital tool aimed at helping parents and kids keep up good study habits at home. The app runs on a computer or smartphone and taps into the device's camera to monitor how focused a student is during homework time.

How the 'Virtual Parent' Works

The app can tell if a kid gets distracted, leaves their desk, or starts messing with their phone. When that happens, a 'virtual parent' pops up on screen with a gentle nudge to get back to studying.

Three Days In: The Results

Just three days after launch, the project landed 86 orders and pulled in ¥18,295 (about $2,700) in revenue. Those numbers show there’s real demand for a digital assistant that helps kids stay focused on their homework.
