Romania's Finance Ministry is offering government bonds with higher yields to blood donors: the September issue carries an annual rate of 7.3% in lei for two years, compared to the standard 6.3%. The minimum investment amount for donors has been reduced by a factor of 10. Since the beginning of 2025, participants in the program have invested about $604 million.

These benefits are available upon confirmation of blood donation: after donating, investors receive documentation and can purchase securities with their own funds on special terms.
