Riot Platforms this week repaid its $200 million credit line with Coinbase Credit and released the associated collateral. The company completed payment of principal and interest on Monday, as disclosed in a Friday SEC filing; no penalties or fees were charged for early repayment.
Collateral Included BTC, USDC, and Cash in Coinbase Custody
The credit obligation was secured by Riot’s financial assets, including Bitcoin (BTC), USDC, and cash. These assets were held in custody with Coinbase Custody Trust Company.
Riot Expands Data Center Business: 191 MW for 20 Years
The company continues to grow its data center segment. In August, Riot signed a 20-year agreement to supply 191 MW of capacity from its Rockdale, Texas campus to a leading AI company.
Revenue and Contribution from the New Segment
For the first quarter of 2026, Riot Platforms reported revenue of $167.2 million, with $33.2 million generated by the new data center division.
