French quantum computing company Pasqal and Saudi research hub KACST have inked a multi-year deal to collaborate on quantum tech and post-quantum cryptography in Saudi Arabia. The partnership is all about tackling real-world data protection challenges against future quantum threats.

What the Program Covers

The two sides plan to develop and test algorithms that can withstand quantum attacks, along with building out quantum-safe key generation methods. As part of the deal, Saudi researchers will get access to Pasqal’s hardware and cloud platform to run experiments and validate their solutions.

Access to Pasqal’s Infrastructure

The program gives participants hands-on access to Pasqal’s hardware and cloud services, so they can trial their approaches and stress-test them in real-world scenarios—no waiting around for lab results.

Timeline and Terms

The parties aren’t disclosing the funding details or exact timeline for rolling out the agreement.
