On September 3, OpenAI unveiled its new flagship AI model, GPT-6 Astra, and kicked off a phased rollout for select organizations through its Trusted Access program. In the coming days, access will open up to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users, as well as via the OpenAI API and Amazon Bedrock.

What’s Launching

OpenAI announced the release of GPT-6 Astra and the start of limited access. In the official announcement, the company said: “This is GPT-6 Astra. Anything you can do on a computer, Astra can do for you. Fast.”

Who Gets Access and When

The initial rollout covers partner organizations through Trusted Access. Over the next few days, access will expand to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscribers, along with developers using the OpenAI API. At the same time, the model will go live on Amazon Bedrock.

Microsoft Azure Integrations

Microsoft has started making GPT-6 Astra available through its limited access Microsoft Foundry program on Azure. For participating clients, broader access is planned soon.

So, GPT-6 Astra is dropping across multiple channels at once—ChatGPT, OpenAI API, Amazon Bedrock, and Azure—making it easier for end users, enterprise clients, and devs to get connected.
