The NEAR co-founder reported that a vulnerability in Near Intents affected only USDT on the BSC network and was resolved in less than an hour; all affected users will receive full compensation.

The NEAR protocol itself, the NEAR token, and other ecosystem applications were not impacted. Near Intents has resumed operations, except for several networks that remain temporarily disabled.

The attack exploited Omni's interaction with the Intents contract

According to the team, the hacker exploited a bug in the interaction between Omni and the NEAR Intents contract. The security system detected abnormal activity, after which Near Intents was temporarily suspended and the vulnerability was promptly closed.
