MetaMask does not plan to launch the MASK token in the near future, ConsenSys CEO Joe Lubin said at Korea Blockchain Week 2026.

According to him, the team is considering "a number of great options" for the development of a native MetaMask token, but a launch is not planned in the short term. Lubin did not provide details on the options being discussed.

Previously, he stated that the MASK token "will appear" and that its launch could happen sooner than expected.
