What Happened

Fake GTA 6 installers loaded with trojans have started circulating online, according to reports. The installers are in Russian and pretend to be leaked copies of the game.

What the Malware Can Do

Once you run the fake GTA 6, it can swipe your passwords, browser cookies, and other personal data. Some of the trojans even let hackers remotely access your computer. There are also strains that can encrypt or straight-up delete your files.

GTA 6 hasn't officially launched yet. Any so-called "leaked builds" out there right now are almost certainly fake or packed with malware.
