Germany’s biggest bank, Deutsche Bank, is gearing up to launch crypto custody services. Soon, clients will be able to store and transfer Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and select stablecoins directly through the bank’s own infrastructure. The service is expected to go live later this year.

What Deutsche Bank Is Launching

The new platform is all about secure storage for digital assets and seamless transfers within Deutsche Bank’s ecosystem. At launch, the bank will support BTC, ETH, and a handful of stablecoins, letting customers manage the most in-demand cryptocurrencies right from their Deutsche Bank accounts.

Launch Timeline

According to the bank’s roadmap, the service will be available before the end of this year. While there’s no exact launch date yet, Deutsche Bank is targeting a 2024 rollout for its crypto custody solution.

Expansion Plans

After the initial launch, Deutsche Bank plans to broaden its list of supported digital assets and add functionality for tokenized financial instruments. The goal is to move beyond basic crypto storage, offering clients a wider range of digital asset operations and use cases.
