Bitdeer just dropped $100 million to scoop up roughly 200 acres (about 81 hectares) of land in Milam County, Texas. The new property sits right next to the company's existing site in Rockdale and is earmarked for a major ramp-up in AI and high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure—without pausing its ongoing mining ops.

What Did Bitdeer Buy, and Where?

The deal covers a chunk of land about 200 acres in size, directly adjacent to Bitdeer's current Rockdale campus. With this purchase, the company now controls close to 255 acres (about 103 hectares) in total across the area.

Power Capacity at the Site

The site's energy infrastructure is rated at 563 MW, with the potential to scale up to 742 MW. These numbers are set for future expansion of AI and HPC compute power, while keeping crypto mining running at full tilt.

Why Bitdeer Is Making This Move

This buy cements Bitdeer's push to build out data centers for AI and HPC right alongside its active mining site. It means they can scale up without downtime for existing mining and tap into all the perks of keeping everything in one spot.
