Aztec announced the relaunch of its private zk.money wallet on a redesigned L2 network on Ethereum. At launch, the wallet supports DAI, internal transfers conceal transaction amounts and user balances, and the transaction limit is $2,500.
Previous zk.money Closed in 2023 Alongside Aztec Connect
The earlier version of zk.money was discontinued in 2023 at the same time as Aztec Connect. According to the team, that network relied on a centralized sequencer, and they did not see a path to full decentralization.
New Service Operates on Updated Aztec L2 Network
The relaunched zk.money operates on Aztec's redesigned L2 network on Ethereum. In the initial phase, it supports DAI and offers privacy for internal transfers.
