Anthropic is locking in serious compute firepower via cloud provider Lambda, with plans to deploy at Hut 8’s Beacon Point campus in Texas. Nvidia is leasing capacity at the site. Lambda will install Nvidia accelerators on campus and provide compute services directly to Anthropic.

Project Scale and Price Tag

The Anthropic-Lambda cloud deal clocks in at around $35 billion. The Texas deployment is set to deliver roughly 350 MW of compute capacity.

Who’s Who and How It Works

Four players are in the mix: Anthropic is the end customer, Lambda supplies the cloud infrastructure, Hut 8 owns and operates the Beacon Point campus and leases out the space, and Nvidia is both renting the infrastructure and supplying the accelerators powering Anthropic’s workloads.
