Monero (XMR) price
#14Smart Contract PlatformAbout the project
Monero is a cryptocurrency with privacy by default, launched in 2014. Unlike bitcoin, it hides the sender, receiver and amount of every transfer using ring signatures, stealth addresses and RingCT.
Monero is mined on ordinary CPUs with the RandomX algorithm, which resists specialized ASIC miners and keeps mining decentralized. After the main emission ended, the network pays a small permanent tail reward per block. Because of its strong privacy, several major exchanges have delisted XMR.
