The Current Account measures a country’s trade balance with the rest of the world, including exports and imports of goods and services, plus net income and transfers. A surplus means more money is coming in than going out, while a deficit means the opposite. Big deficits can weaken a country’s currency, which may make assets like Bitcoin more attractive as an alternative store of value.
